Kiffin Kingdom?

It's official. Lane Kiffin has been introduced as Tenneessee's new head coach. But the question looming in the air is whether or not his dad Monte Kiffin, the defensive coordinatior for the Bucs, will follow.

Monte Kiffin has been in the NFL for 26 seasons now, 13 with the Tampa Bay Bucs. He is the Father of the 'Cover 2' defense and known as one of the NFL's defensive minds of the modern era. Kiffin put the Bucs on the map with his D and has cultivated some of the best defensive players in the league; John Lynch, Derrick Brooks, Ronde Barber and Warren Sapp just to name a few.

He seems happy at home in the NFL, so why make a move--to college football for that matter? Is it because he'd like the opportunity to coach with his son? Or are there problems between him and coaches and staff in the Bucs organization? Could he and head coach Jon Gruden not be getting along?

No one knows. As of right now, Monte says its mere speculation and there are reports that he's leaning towards making the trip to Tennessee.

Could Monte 'Volunteer-ily' give up his NFL career and make the switch to college football?

Bull Crap Standings

It is that time in college football when arguments begin to arise about the BCS standings and how a playoff system should be implemented. The USA Today Coaches Poll, the Harris Interactive College Football Poll and an average of 6 computer rankings decide the fate of college football's elite to see who will compete for the national championship.

Alabama sits uncontested at No.1 with an 11-0 record and the Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns and Florida Gators follow, each with one loss. Now the question is: Who is the most deserved one losss team to strut their stuff in the championship game?

If Florida defeats Alabama in the SEC championship then it looks like Heisman QB contenders Tim Tebow and Sam Bradford will take to the air to see who will win the offensive battle.

Texas fans are pulling for No. 13 Missouri to pull an upset on the Sooners in the Big 12 championship so their Longhorns can take that coveted trip down to Miami.

There are several other scenarios that could happen. Alabama vs. Oklahoma, Alabama vs. Texas or Florida vs. Texas. An upset in either championship game is going to be key.

No matter what, the national championship is going to be exhilarating. It's going to be the battle of the quarterbacks this year. Three of the four teams hoist Heisman contenders, with Tim Tebow being the reigning Heisman winner.

At the end of the season, it's sad to look at the standings and see that the top four teams are neck and neck. They all deserve the chance of being the 2009 National Champs, but it all comes down to the technicalities of the BCS.

Shouldn't there be a fair playoff system like the NFL? Some conferences are stronger than others. Record doesn't always indicate the strength of the team, but it's who they play.

So who should be No. 1 and No. 2 in this Bull Crap Standing?

Will Gators Roll over Tide?

December 6th is fast approaching. Fans are making final trip arrangements and party plans to watch their Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida Gators take the field for the coveted SEC title.

Yes, Alabama sits atop the BCS standings as the No. 1 team in the nation, but the Gators have been on fire ever since their one loss to Ole Miss on September 27th.

Coming off a 45-15 routhing of Florida State, Florida looks to keep the momentum going, even without star receiver and running back Percy Harvin. Harvin injured his right ankle on a 5-yard run to the FSU 8 with about six minutes left in the second quarter. He's been listed as questionable and Coach Urban Meyer has already slotted returnman Brandon James to fill the void. Though Harvin will be missed, we can't forget about rushing threats Jeff Demps and Chris Rainy in the backfield and Aaron Hernandez, Louis Murphy & Co. to challenge the Tide in the air.

Will QB John Parker Wilson beable to combat the young, tanacious Florida defense and keep up with Tim Tebow and the No. 1 offense?

Saturday, December 6th at 4 p.m. Watch and see.
